If you run an industrial, aerospace or marine staffing firm, you already know a few things nobody has to prove to you.

Skilled trades don’t apply. They answer. A pipe welder isn’t filling out a twelve-step application on a job board. He’s answering a text about a real job at a real rate, from the truck, on his lunch break. And the details decide everything: certs, weld tests, travel radius, per diem, shift.

Answer late and they’re gone. When a candidate texts back at 9 PM and hears from you at 10 the next morning, somebody else already called. You have to engage when they engage.

Your database is a hidden treasure. Every board post you’ve ever paid for left names behind in your ATS. Most of them haven’t heard from you in months. Some of them are exactly who you need this week.

Anything that talks to candidates in your name is your reputation. Your clients are demanding, and so are the trades. If something texts a welder on your behalf, it has to sound like you, you have to be able to watch it, and you have to be able to fix it the same day.

We built TalentPrism around those four truths.

What TalentPrism is

TalentPrism is an AI recruiter for industrial staffing firms. It follows up with the candidates you already have, and tells your recruiters who’s available, interested, and worth a call.

It texts the people in your database about the jobs you have open, in your name. It replies in minutes, day or night. And when your recruiters sit down in the morning, they don’t start from a cold list. They start from the people who answered.

A recruiter’s “worth a call today” list for a pipe welder job in Pascagoula: two candidates marked available and interested with a Call button, and a combo welder who said “text me the next one” saved for a future job

Illustrative example with fictional candidates.

Why it works

We ask what they want, not just whether they qualify

Most automated outreach is a screening form in disguise: do you have the cert, yes or no, next. Tradespeople can smell that from a mile away, and they don’t answer it.

TalentPrism starts the other way around. What kind of work are you after? Days or nights? How far will you travel? Is per diem a must? Because it asks about what the candidate wants, they actually answer. Even when the answer is no.

Every reply improves the record, including no

A “no” is not a dead end. A combo welder who says “not this one, I only work days, text me the next one” just told you exactly how to place him. That’s a future placement, and TalentPrism writes it down on his record so it’s there when the next day-shift job comes in.

A candidate record for a fictional pipe welder last contacted 14 months ago, now tagged “Days only”, “6G certified”, “Travels 60 mi” and “Wants per diem”, next to the line: Every reply improves the record. Including no.

A conversation sets a candidate up for any job you have, not just the one you texted about. Over time, your database stops being a pile of stale resumes and starts telling you who’s who.

It gets what you need to submit

Getting a reply is half the work. The other half is getting what your client needs before you can submit someone: weld tests, TWIC, clearance, travel, per diem, start date. TalentPrism asks for those details in the conversation and on phone screens, so the candidate who lands on your recruiter’s list is closer to submittal-ready, not just “interested.”

We run the follow-up. You decide.

TalentPrism is not a tool you buy and then have to babysit. We run it for you, and the people running it know the trades. We know what a 6G cert is, why TWIC matters at a shipyard, and why a per diem answer can make or break a travel job.

Your recruiters stay in charge of the part that needs a human: deciding who to call, who to submit, and what to tell the client. TalentPrism does the follow-up that nobody on your team has time for, and hands them the list.

What it looks like in practice

A national aerospace staffing firm used TalentPrism to follow up with 6,089 dormant candidates across three aircraft assembler campaigns. Over six weeks:

  • 267 candidates raised their hand
  • 93 qualified candidates gave recruiters a tighter list to work from
  • 41 voice conversations gave candidates another way to engage
  • 394 job-alert subscribers became a reusable warm audience for the next opening
  • 1 in 4 records in the ATS turned out to be dead, and got flagged
  • 8 of 26 hires had TalentPrism activity before the fill date

Calling those 6,089 candidates by hand at 15 minutes each would have taken more than 1,500 hours of recruiter time. Read the full aerospace case study for the details, including how we measured activity before fill dates and what that does and doesn’t prove.

Who it’s for

TalentPrism is built for US contract-staffing firms in industrial, aerospace and marine work: teams with dozens of open reqs, a big ATS, and clients who notice when things go wrong. If your recruiters spend their mornings chasing voicemails instead of talking to people who are ready to work, it’s built for you.

Your database already has the people. TalentPrism finds out who’s available, interested, and worth a call.
